The Telegraph Magazine published a four-page interiors feature on our clients’ newly remodelled home, for which we designed and made a beautiful kitchen as well as extensive cabinetry throughout the rest of the residence.
The article praises the kitchen and living area as ‘the ultimate expression in open-plan living’ and goes on to say that ‘designer Jack Trench [has] created a kitchen whose minimal white façade conceals an entire wall of oak-lined floor-to-ceiling storage with a 100ft–island overlooking the room’

We believe Jack Trench Ltd have undertaken the first UK installation of the BLANCO by GUTMANN Mesa extraction hood. All handcrafted BLANCO by GUTMANN hoods offer state-of-the-art design features for external, internal or recirculating extraction options. The Mesa is a recess ventilator offering extraction on three sides of the oven hob. Its sophisticated design means that the hood body and filter are effectively hidden while the patented cabriolet technology allows for easy maintenance by simply lifting up the cooking area. The Mesa’s innovative technology allowed our designers to meet our client’s brief in creating a visually uncluttered and elegant cooking island.

One of the key elements of our brief for this luxury minimalist kitchen was to incorporate a Corian hob cover that would lift with no resistance and close gradually, safely and completely noiselessly. Following a design development and prototyping process, our studio team fabricated a bespoke mechanism for the hob cover that met with our client’s exact requirements.
We are delighted to present a couple of ‘first look’ images of this dramatic house in La Zagaleta, one of the most prestigious residential communities in Spain. The culmination of an 18-month project, it is hard to imagine we were standing on a building site a mere 12 months ago when we made our very first site visit.
Since that time, our London workshop manufactured and finished all the fitted cabinetry for 5 ensuite bathrooms, the main kitchen, a large pantry kitchen and a smaller auxiliary kitchen with wine room and further works elsewhere in the house. All these components were loaded on to a 3,500 cubic ft articulated lorry and driven across Europe. Our installation team then spent 6 weeks fitting the cabinetry during the height of the Spanish summer. It has been an incredible journey.
Paul Cocksedge Studio, an internationally acclaimed design practice, was asked to develop and implement the stand design for the Concept Style Coupé, the current concept car by Mercedes-Benz. Jack Trench Ltd was commissioned to undertake the joinery manufacture and installation for Cocksedge’s design for this year’s 100% Design.
Our previous projects for Paul Cocksedge Studio include an installation for the Wellcome Trust (2008), a Christmas Window Display for Hermès (2009), and ‘Kiss’ at Covent Garden (2010).

Our freestanding furniture for Ett Hem (a new boutique hotel in Stockholm designed by Studio Ilse) has featured in numerous design publications including Condé Nast Traveller, Monocle, Architectural Digest and Elle Décor Italia. Tyler Brûlé writing for the Financial Times said: “More than three years in the making, Ett Hem offers a new model that brings in the best elements of a smart country inn combined with intimacy and intelligent design”.
Our work for the 12-bedroom hotel includes bedside tables, cocktail cabinets and a number of furniture peices for the sitting room and library.
Our custom-made kitchen for co-founder of the iconic kitchenware brand Joseph Joseph was featured in the Times Magazine earlier this month. The white & marble kitchen sits within an open plan living and dining area and is perfectly in keeping with the elegant pared back design of the house.
Founded by Benedictine monks 900 years ago and rebuilt by Christopher Wren after the Great Fire of London, the Guild Church of St Mary Aldermary is now home to the Host Cafe. Jack Trench Ltd was commissioned to undertake the project comprising a bespoke freestanding coffee bar and seating area.
Situated at the rear of the church as you enter through the main doors and commanding spectacular views of the splendid fan-vaulted ceiling and Gothic interior, the Host Cafe has been conceived as a space for quiet contemplation and a welcome retreat from the daily hustle and bustle of London life. It also serves a fantastic range of fair-trade espresso coffee, loose-leaf teas and delicious cakes and pastries!

Jack Trench Ltd has been commissioned to undertake an entire house fit-out in the south of Spain. The house, situated in the Malagan hills, is still under construction but has reached a stage where we are now able to make an initial site survey. It is a beautiful location and the house will be stunning when finished - needless to say there is no air-conditioning and it was exceptionally warm, even in March when made our visit.
A key part of the design process for a bespoke kitchen in Wandsworth was to handpick the marble for their island worktop. We chose Arabescato marble for the clarity of its whiteness and strong blue-grey veining, which would perfectly complement the interior colour scheme. With little more than masking tape and a good eye, we marked out the dimensions and hob placement on the marble to get the vein positions exactly as we wanted them.
David Chipperfield Architects commissioned us to make this scale model of one of their projects, a new art gallery for the Colección Jumex in Mexico City. The model was shown at the Royal Academy's Summer Exhibition in 2011 and was subsequently part of an exhibition celebrating the enduring influence of the Bauhaus school on contemporary design and architecture, Bauhaus Live - pictured here at The Aram Gallery's opening night private view.
Open House London is the city’s largest showcase of architecture, design and regeneration. With over a quarter of a million participants and over 700 featured locations, it is a celebration of the buildings, places and neighbourhoods where Londoners live and work. Through Knott Architects (the project architects), we were invited to participate in the event that took place over a weekend in September. We welcomed over 100 visitors to the project, had some really positive feedback from the public and in the process enjoyed raising awareness on the finer points of bespoke cabinetry and fitted joinery.
