The Jack Trench Story

With a multi-disciplinary career spanning design, manufacture and construction, Jack Trench brings a wealth of experience to his role as a kitchen specialist and design consultant. A trained industrial designer, Jack’s entry into the world of construction was as an architectural assistant and draughtsman at Robert Collingwood Architects. Following this he went on to set up Jack Trench Design & Build (2001), focussing on house refurbishments in London.

In 2003 Jack opened his first joinery workshop and established Jack Trench Ltd, delivering bespoke joinery for diverse projects that included high-end residential work, retail fit-outs and museum installations for clients across the UK, Europe and the US. During this time the company grew into a thriving business with a team of 16 employees, 5,000 sq. ft. workshop premises, a design studio and showroom in central London – eventually specialising exclusively in the design and manufacture of bespoke kitchens and fine furniture commissions. Together with his co-director Edd Thurston, Jack worked alongside some of the best architects, interior designers and construction professionals in the industry, on projects ranging from Swiss chalets and Stockholm residences to townhouses on the Thames. Over this period, Jack Trench Ltd gained a firm reputation for producing some of the highest quality bespoke kitchens in the UK.

More recently Jack has embarked upon a new phase with Jack Trench Design, as a consultant and project manager specialising in bespoke kitchens, joinery and spatial design. This has enabled a more flexible approach to designing for the built environment where he can call upon his network of makers, manufacturers and construction partners to suit the specific needs of each project.
