Our Story

Founder and director Jack Trench trained in industrial design and worked at an architectural practice before setting up Jack Trench Ltd in 2003. Edd Thurston joined in 2008 and has played a crucial role in steering the growth and design direction of Jack Trench, becoming co-director in 2014. Edd takes the lead on technical design and production while Jack oversees concept design development and project management.

Since 2003 the company has maintained its original ethos of delivering high-end joinery, bespoke kitchens and finely-crafted furniture developing into a growing team of cabinetmakers, site fitters, designers and studio staff.

We moved to our present workshop and studio premises in 2006 and opened our first showroom in Islington in 2015. In 2011 we became Corian-accredited fabricators and 2014 saw the launch of Jack Trench's signature bespoke kitchen design, the 'JT Classic' in Corian. In 2017 we opened our current permanent showroom in Clerkenwell's design district.
